    Tried the G5 Montec 125's last year. Really struggled to get them dialed in. Kept rotating until I finally caught up with the arrow spine and got them descent. Looking to make a change though. Probably Slick Trick Viper Trick 125's or QAD Exodus 125's

Roads were one problem (Not knowing what was actually passable by truck or what was public, private, or public but being played as private).     Went on our first Colorado DIY OTC elk hunt in 2022. Absolutely got our butts kicked. Never seen an Elk but we had a blast. Colorado supposedly has the most Elk.....can't prove it by us. Do be prepared to deal with altitude sickness if a low lander. Only way to figured it out is to go...

    Agree with this.....all the e-scouting will still not prepare you for actually dealing with it in person. The perspective is totally different. Oh, and depending on where you are coming from be prepared to deal with altitude sickness. It doesn't happen to everybody but it does happen.

    Done our first DIY OTC Colorado Elk hunt last year. Last two weeks of September. Didn't have any luck. But we had fun and learned a lot of what not to do. Seen some other hunters but not what we expected to see. But that was probably because there were no Elk where we were.😜

    I have noticed in the last couple of seasons they have pulled a few out of OTC archery......The new guide for '23 list a handful of units that are new to the draw for archery.
