Snide remarks aside, I honestly think that oiling cap screws is bad practice. You said loctite is not necessary because they’re under tension, but that is the case for base screws as well and you’re loctiting those. What harm is there in using loctite rather than oil? Both will be a wet torque... -

People are out there ADDING oil to their scope mounts and wonder why they missed that chip shot. Clean the oil off and loctite. -

New Durston Tent
I’ve got an XMid 2P Solid and while it’s not Hilleberg quality, it’s a very capable tent at a much lighter weight. I actually sold a Nallo 3gt after using the XMid for a couple seasons. Lightweight Tikka Action?
There are more options for dovetail rings than just UM. But I’m not sure why someone would choose anything other than a dovetail ring for a tikka anyways.
