    I put one of these on my bino harness. Firesteel and whistle. I have a few firestraws in my harness so now if I drop pack I still have means to light a fire.

    My .22lr is most accurate with SK pistol match special. It's a LRN ammo. For hunting I turn them into hollow points with a 'waltz' die that I made on a lathe.     Anyone ever use a small solar light that turns itself on when it gets dark to show where camp is? I have always thought it would be good to have something you can leave on or near camp in alpine areas. Be handy when coming back to camp in the dark.

    I get what you're saying however I do almost all my hunting with a recurve bow and I have no interest in shooting stuff at long range. The Whelan would be my bang flop gun. If the .270W is the finger of God then the Whelan is the hammer of Thor.
