I used a CBD balm from Floyd's of Leadville for what felt like tennis elbow. It seemed to help, though I'm never really sure if these things are just snake oil. I'm pretty sure it was this one. https://floydsofleadville.com/product/lavender-balm/?v=7516fd43adaa
I've used Infinit Go Far for long efforts. It's 280 calories per serving and includes 4 grams of protein along with carbs and electrolytes. It tastes decent as long as you've got cold water (that's true of most I think). And doesn't seem quite as heavy/sticky as Tailwind.
Awesome goal! Definitely go for it. Take your time building the mileage, but you don't "need" a ton of miles to run a 50k. You can get to that goal with a peak of 50 mile weeks during training. Consistency in training is key. There are quite few books and training plans out there to help get you...
My unscientific take... Don't put too much stock in the number. It's based on a proprietary algorithm, so no way to know for sure how it's calculated. You can tap on the HELP link in the top right corner of the screen and it will explain what goes into the number at a high level.
I really just...
I live just north of Castle Pines. We used Elkstone Basements for our basement and we are very happy with the result and overall process. We had ours done 5 years ago though, so no clue on what current costs would be. Our neighbor used them about a year ago and they are happy as far as I know.
@TxxAgg will this be your first 50K?
Just some general thoughts, but your hydration and food plan is going to depend a little bit on the course and how long you think you'll be out there. A pretty typical time for a 50k with 3,000 to 5,000 feet of vert is 6-8 hours. So personally I'm looking...
Lots of good stuff already, but I'll add a couple cents worth. I think it may depend on what you want to do, there are a few different paths, tax, audit, corporate. My wife and I are both accountants (insert jokes here) and have our CPA licenses. I've spent most of my career in corporate...
I grew up 70 miles north of Williston. Left North Dakota 20+ years ago, but still have family in the area and get up there about once a year. As mentioned it gets cold, I can't compare to Fairbanks though. Plenty of fishing close by on the Missouri or a number of local lakes. Pheasant hunting in...
The Black Eagle durability thread got me wondering about this, here's a link to that thread https://www.rokslide.com/forums/threads/be-rampage-build-durability-concerns.250749/. And I've read several other threads that discuss arrow durability. But I haven't seen anything about what kind of life...
For trail running, I use the Salomon Advanced Skin 5 for nearly all my longer runs. I also have the Salomon Advanced Skin 12. I use the 12 for all day, self supported trail runs in the mountains. I use them both the same, just carry more stuff in the 12. I'll carry up to 4 full soft flask water...
I'm not sure what kind of sight you are using. But if it's a multi-pin sight, maybe where your pin sits in the housing is causing you to change your anchor point slightly. Meaning it's probably easier to consistently anchor and center the the 40, 50, 60 yard pins. But your 20 pin sits higher in...
