    that parallels my experience so far shooting side by side from various positions and cartridges. Getting 500 yds and beyond is when I really like the 10x just easier for my eyes to pick up my wind subtensions. Like you say it’s just quicker to use vs the 6x.

    If you are gonna sell a bunch of stuff to finance one good gun, that’s a pretty ideal setup. that looks functional those are the kind of looks I find appealing

    If you already have a bunch of 308 I’d stick with it, get the tikka is my recommendation I have 308, 7mm08, 6.5creed tikkas and I’d recommend any one of them. They shoot function no frills. I just ordered a new 308 barrel 20” 5/8-24 threads take off. 25’ version. 178eldx, 168tmk can’t go wrong...

    I wouldn't expect there to be problem in terms of bullet weight/stability until you got up to some heavier offerings what @WeiserBucks said
