I hunt or guide and scout the border in AZ multiple times a year every year. Just be smart and leave them alone. There are some wild stories, guess I’ve been lucky with zero issues.
Anyway… Anyone who’s received a stock and shot it (how could you not have over the weekend)!?!? What is your blind, general, initial thoughts?
Looking forward to my 2 stocks arriving and if they are as good as I hope I’m ordering 3 more.
You don’t even know how old anyone here is. Lol. Sweet threat though, to a solid contributing member here.
You don’t know what you don’t know. Your blind assumptions, general terrible advice, and constant “balloon knot” nonsense has gone all the way overboard at this point.
That’s the screw I was referring to in my post. The torque on it on my Sakos, all metal component rifles, have all been higher than the multiple tikkas I’ve taken apart. They also lack loctite on the tikkas.
I add loctite and torque to match Sako 75/85 specs found from using my torque wrench...

I have moved away from aftermarket springs as of about 6 months ago. Adjust the factory...
There is nothing special about hunting brand pants. Most of them are okay, but most don’t last at all.
I switched to Fjallraven pants I think it’s been 4 or 5 years now. I prefer the Vidda Pro Ventilated model. They are the best pants for outdoor activities that I’ve ever used.
Most guys...
Will do. The overnight lows where I'm hunting elk in AZ this year, right now are mid 30's to mid 40's. Will go scout and camp in one hopefully this week.
Really hoping it works out and can be suitable for hunts in New Zealand in August and Alaska in September before Fall hunts in the states...
That's exactly what goes in my pack/vehicle. VERY lightweight merino hooded long sleeve from New Zealand (thinner than most cotton t-shirts), over that I use Patagonia R1 Air hoodie, and then either LPP or the Nunatak down puffy. The Nunatak was too warm for many trips last year and I've...
