Not opposed to a trade but still believe that an engineering degree in the long run would be a better situation and open more doors.
I have told him do the degree and try to to some trade stuff during breaks and summer to see what it like.
He is going to be fine either way. Good kid with the...
JC to a 4 year will more than likely be the option he takes. As for why those 3 schools. He wants to put himself in the best position to live in the west. Everything he thinks about is hunting and the outdoors. Staying home or going to the B10 increases the chance he doesn’t get there. He saw...
Well my son narrowed it down to Wyoming/Boise State/Alaska for mechanical engineering. Entering his senior year he has a 4.5 (highest he can have) and a 1320on his SAT, he is going to take it again.
Anyways looking at college cost and scholarships. He will get the WUE but wondering what luck...
In roughly the same boat or at least will be there soon. I have been enjoying my kids hunts right now but when it’s time to get serious I think I might take a year off hunting and just plan a two week trip and scout the areas and species I plan to hunt the next few years. I don’t mind a great...
I just bought a new pack as a back up to my other one. Anyway ordered a frame and bag with unlimited return. Pack came when I was on a hunt for back a week later and tried the bag out with a few different gear in my room and just did not like it. Had to leave for another hunt so I put it away...
I know this might go against things for people who like to shoot but I would probably just narrow it down to couple of rifles and then just go from there. Once you keep adding new rifles, it’s new powder, new dies, new primers. The list goes on some just sit and never really get shot. I would...
It’s not the load. You are not missing by that much with any variation in loading. I am sure you could change powder and bullet and still hit a sign at 50 yards if everything else is solid
I think of all the hunts that I missed in the early 2000s. No real reason for it just did not really make it a priority to go out of state or build points. Was starting a family, paying off a small student loan and thought I needed save money and pay everything in cash. Also built a sports...
Mostly day hunts but prefer to be in a ways and hunt from there. Rough being in bed and waking up 1:00 morning to hit the road for 2 hours and another 2 hours to hike in. Makes for a long day and tough drives but when you don’t have much time it is what it is
I have lots of hunting pants and even bought new ones this year not really sure why.
Every hunt for the last 4 years I have worn the Costco pants. They simply work and hold up well. Only thing I don’t like is a slight pant twist around the boot.
Cheapest best pant on the market
Where are you at? Maybe someone will help you out if you are close
Biggest thing is cool before using. Fill with blocks of ice. Milk jugs and then pack with ice.
Keep it in the shade. It’s amazing how hot they get if the sun is on them.
Should no problem lasting a few days if you do this
