Anyone ever get their refunds back separately? I’ve always gotten my money back as one lump sum refund less drawn tags and fees. But I just received one refund for $360 and nothing else yet. One stove is great until you’re both starving and exhausted at the end of a long day. Then you’re taking turns boiling water when all you want to do is eat and pass out. That’s one thing that’s worth the weight for me.- mikeafeagin22

If you’re already boiling water for coffee in the morning then toss some packs of oatmeal in your bag instead of a peak meal every day. Bag or two of oatmeal and a pop tart will save you quite a bit of space and you don’t have to wait 10-15 minutes every morning for your meal to be ready. I...- mikeafeagin22

Three peak meals a day is going to feel like you spent your whole elk hunt boiling water. If it’s not quick and easy then you’ll probably start skipping that midday meal then end up bonking hard after a couple days. I’ll second that! Always a great time when everyone in camp has a tag in their pocket of course but it sure seems quite a bit easier to stay positive on day six of getting your teeth kicked in when there’s only one tag to fill.- mikeafeagin22
