Yea, all my 80lb bows have little quirks. I always buy winners choice strings for them and they seem to have less issues with strings stretching over time. My Nitrum is at 84 and the riser bends so much that my sight on my hogg father is set to the left as far as it can go. It's crazy. I always...
I would learn to do everything yourself. No shops will do a stellar job at tuning your bow. How I can tell is that I paper tune every arrow. Most of the time, the shop hasn't even done that. Even if they have a technician will not have the same form that you do. This means, if he paper tuned the...
Try the Hamskea Droptine release. It literally has all the adjustments you need. If you want, I'll sell you mine. I've used it like two or three times. I just have too many releases that I use. Try it. It's the most versatile release I've ever used.
Why the QAD? I have always heard that people prefer the hamskea as I have it on all my bows. I like them. They are amazing and tough as they come. Never ever had a problem. Used to have a trophy taker and they have failed twice on me. The springs broke after so many cycles both times.
Same here. The bears were all over the alpine basins. I would see deer in the morning and then by 9 or 10am the deer would disappear and the bears would show up.
Technically the way he described it, "If you gain a foot in elevation for a foot of distance". One foot of distance is equal to the hypotenuse. Therefore the sin(Angle) = elevation gain/distance (Hypotenuse). Taking the arcsine of both sides yields the angle. If the hypotenuse and the rise...
I've had the same issue. I'm on my third replacement as well. I think it's unacceptable. Especially if you hunt the mountains. That would be devastating.
I'm getting excited. Made the trip out to CO this fourth of july week to check on a few bucks that I'll be hunting only to meet a wall of snow at 10,500ft. Really getting jacked up with these photos. Getting soo close.
Anything over 300 fps would be extremely difficult if not near impossible to tune if he were shooting a fixed blade broad head. There is no need for that much speed. The op needs to increase his arrow weight if anything. 370 gr is a bit light. Maybe go up to 450gr. But then you inevitably...
Funny I quit chewing years ago. However, when I hunt the backcountry I chew from the start of my trip(leaving the driveway) all the way to the end of the trip (entering the driveway). Somehow I never chew afterward. It works great for staying awake and passing the time.
I'm from hudson as well. I run afton state park everyday if anyone is interested in joining. I too would be interested in a 3D shoot. I mainly shoot in my backyard but 3D would definitely be fun!
