Leopard
Nigel was born and grew up in Harare, Zimbabwe. Being born into a family that is passionate about ecology, hunting, wingshooting, fishing, camping and outdoors meant that Nigel was in the African bush, away from the city, from a very early age. At the age of 6, Nigel shot his first plains game animal with a rifle whilst hunting with his father, an Impala Ewe. Nigel picked up the bow for the first time at the age of 12 and has bowhunted ever since – both with compound and traditional. Now living with his wife in Newbury, England, Nigel runs an IT business with his father. Nigel’s bowhunting has taken him around the world to Africa, North America, Europe and Australia. When he’s not bowhunting or working in the family business, you can find Nigel travelling with his wife, Rianna, taking photographs, training for the next bowhunt or tinkering with his beloved 1988 Land Cruiser HZJ75 troop carrier.
Nigel hunts for the chase and the adventure, not with a measuring tape. Obviously, it’s nice to shoot a good trophy, but he’s a strong believer that there’s more to the hunt, than the size of the trophy and fair chase for the animal is very important to him. Nigel is passionate about the active role that hunting plays into ecology and the long term sustainability of our ecosystem and natural environment. Another of Nigel’s passions is photography, particularly wildlife and landscape photography. He’ll often be seen bowhunting with a DSLR hanging around his shoulder.
