    This is a really good point! The more I look through the EL’s and compare to the Kowa I just can’t tell enough difference to justify the cost delta. Don’t get me wrong the EL’s are nice, super nice! But like you they are more than my eyes need to do what I want.

    Not using them on a tripod, just handheld. But as @Coop RentOutdoorGear.com mentioned there are multiple options for wrap around holders to allow tripod use.
