    Bino Harness Choice?

I really like my Marsupial non-magnetic harness. Great quality, well designed. Definitely agree with other users in that it's "minimalist". The side pockets aren't very usable, and the front pocket only has room for very small items. If you don't need to store much beyond your binos, the...

You've carried a suppressed rifle far and wide

My hunting rifle is a 6.5 Creedmoor cut to 18", using a 5" suppressor. With such a short barrel length, I'm using 123 scenars to achieve velocity. Not enough barrel length to move the heavier projectiles at an appropriate speed, IMO.

    Suppressor recoil reduction

Some of the short and fat cans have more of a recoil impulse similar to a muzzle brake than traditional longer/skinny cans. My Abel Co Biscuit recoils more like a muzzle brake, quick to get back on target and no real noticeable dwell or slow push like a traditional suppressor. I use mine...

    8x vs 10x

The Kowa Genesis' give nothing up to Swaro's in glass quality, perhaps some small nuances that matter to some folks. Once you get to this level it's mostly a matter of personal preference. I'm not sure if the Kowa Genesis are in the budget, but they are an excellent value for their quality...

    Which 10x42’s?

I've been nothing but impressed with my Kowa's. They don't seem to give up much compared to the Swaro's I've looked through. Perhaps edge to edge clarity is a bit better on the Swaro's. Honestly the differences once you get to this tier in optics is small nuances. For some those small...

    How many millions

"Buy once, cry once" is pretty applicable here. I've saved a lot of money by buying quality products once that don't ever need to be upgraded.

    Binos comparable to Swaro SLCs

The Kowa's have great glass. An excellent value when CameralandNY puts on an open box sale for $999...

Buy Once Cry Once Reloading Equipment

That's good to know. Will have to be something to keep on top of when reloading for my .300NM. I also don't like how its two separate companies, one of which has no desire to acknowledge or support the other (Adam @ Autotrickler). So getting help with any issues could be a problem.

Buy Once Cry Once Reloading Equipment

I actually just ordered one not too long ago - waiting for it to be ready. I love my autotrickler, but the trickler portion is a definite weak link. I think the IP trickler will really make that system more optimal. I also went and purchased a V3 board for my V2 Autotrickler.

Has anyone been shot at while hunting?

It is really nice! I could do without all the whitethorn acacia's though, I must've walked through acres and acres of the stuff on Monday. Arizona in general is such a beautiful state. I love the geographical diversity, I've really appreciated it since moving here a few years ago.

Has anyone been shot at while hunting?

As someone who comes from the world of target shooting (long range/PRS type stuff), I find it really disappointing how many behave when they are out target shooting. Leaving trash everywhere, not being respectful of others, not being safe, and doing absolutely dumb stuff like what happened to...

Has anyone been shot at while hunting?

It certainly could've been ricochets. Some of the shots were very close together, so my brain could've interpreted the previous gunshots with the projectiles flying overhead. While I'm very experienced with rifles, I've never been shot at nor worked the pits before. I think some of you are...

Has anyone been shot at while hunting?

I'm definitely going to be avoiding this area in the future. Not the kind of action I signed up for

Has anyone been shot at while hunting?

Today I was out hunting West of Benson AZ, just north of Mescal in Unit 33 for mule deer. I was hunting in AZ State Trust Land, East of Mescal Road by mile marker 3, to provide some context for those that know the area. Didn't have much luck in the morning, saw a few doe but no bucks. By the...

    Swaro question

My guess would be that people are upgrading to NL Pures. People who buy Swarovski do so because they can afford it and want the best of the best. The NL Pures currently represent that top tier, so I would guess people are selling their "older" Swaro's to get the current top of the line.
