    Crimson Trace Hardline Pro scopes

Looks very similar to the discontinued Bushnell Forge line🤷🏼‍♂️

Recommendations for a heavy duty scope, low mag

If you don’t dial much you can also look at the NF SHV 3-10. It would save you some $ and has the MOAR reticle for holdover

Choosing a day pack vs a multi-day pack?

Personally I like the guide light MT frame from mystery ranch better than the pop-up frame especially for hauling meat. If I was in your shoes I’d pick a pack with that frame: sawtooth, bear tooth, metcalf, Pinter…..whatever you want for a multi day pack and then pickup the mule bag for that...

    Ultra-lite bullet sizing pressure ?

I’d second the bore variation. I’ve experienced it several times. FWIW Brux produces fantastic consistent ML barrels

Bedding CF Stocks: Pillars or No?

Ultimately it depends on the stock. McMillan says it is unnecessary to pillar bed their stocks. Pillars came about when Brown precision and McMillan first started making stocks. The foam they used (a urethane type) did actually need them or it could be compressed. A modern McMillan is built...

    Free bore issue

Sounds like either ammunition or you are building a carbon ring. I wouldn’t expect it to form that quickly but hard to say. It’s a solid 2 hours to get one out. I never had one until I started shooting supressed.

FFP Scope choice for 7PRC Elk Rifle?

To the O.P. What scope are you coming from now? You may be able to get a significant upgrade without spending 2500+. I’ve shot a lot of scopes. A lot of really good scopes, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are a great hunting scope for my application. I’m not a fan of the 34,35,37mm...

    Nightforce NX8 vs NXS??

TK-421 your and my assessment of the NX8 is exactly the same and I’ve been behind a bunch. Im weight conscious but the fairly new bushy elite tactical DMR3 is a fantastic scope for the price. It’s a 34mm tube and tips the scales at 35 oz but it’s head and shoulders above an NX8 to me. Doesn’t...

    Best long range scope

If weight isn’t an issue with that budget I’d take a serious look at the bushnell DMR 3. Bushnell elite Tacs have a pretty dang good reputation for being tough, reliable scopes that hold zero and dial reliably. The glass quality of the new dmr3 is really good. I’m pretty weight conscious...

    Release agent testing

Brownells spray release is my go to. It’s expensive but a can lasts forever. I wouldn’t waste time with anything else that “should work” the brownells stuff works as advertised every time. like the old saying goes an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

    0 or 20 MOA Rail

I don’t see why it’s remarakably silly. Most modern scopes such as yours have a ton of adjustment. Most everyone these days are running higher BC bullets which drop a lot less at distance than projectiles of the past. Most cartridges running bullets with somewhere between a mid 5 and high 7 bc...

    NF scope decision for hunting, NX8 4-32 / ATACR 4-16 / FFP / SFP

For a .223 build maybe take a look at the NXS 2.5-10. It’s a sweet little scope that’d be significantly lighter and smaller but maintain the reliability

    Single favorite do everything scope?

Bushnell LRHS2. It functions as a riflescope should: holds and maintains zero, dials correctly, returns to zero. To top it all off the glass quality is pretty dang good. Everyone who has looked through one of mine is surprised/impressed.

    Leather lined boots list

The guide max while leather lined is still a Gor-Tex boot. The purpose for my wearing a LL boot is to get away from Gor-Tex or everyone’s knock off of the same the type of liner
