Hypothetical - You can only bring one firearm….

I'd use it as an excuse to buy a Ruger Alaskan Hawkeye in 375 Ruger just because, but Tikka 300 Win Mag if something I already have.

Show Your Takedown / Bugout Rifles

This is pretty much what I was thinking. Maybe a microprism for the etched reticle, but basically the same idea.

Show Your Takedown / Bugout Rifles

I have been thinking of getting a stainless takedown 10/22 with the backpacker stock. I dont have anything like this, but I would like to see what the guys of Rokslide have put together, rimfire or centerfire, that may give me ideas of which direction to go. Thanks!

130 Grain Class 6.5 Creedmoor Bullets

I'm going to bring 130 TMKs with me if I get in any >100 yards spots this season. 77TMKs until then.

    Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

I am keeping my eyes out for the upcoming Primary Arms GLX 1x microprosm. I think it's got a few months before it's available to the public though. That might be a good piece for these setups, although I like the Romeo so far.

    Also, anyone think of 6max?

    Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

I torqued 30, backed off, 30 backed off, then finally 40. The mass produced guns where the glass tube needs to pass through the barrel nut teeth are just cranked on until they get the opening to line up. I bet a lot of those are in the 60-80 range at times. I also have heard accuracy is better...

.223 for bear, deer, elk and moose.

It looks like it's only the small pack too. The sku for 500 bullets isn't for the tipped.

The cartridge for the next 30 years….

Probably could deplete the Earth's lead supply before shooting out a 45/70 barrel.

What difference do you expect to see in the new uppers?

    Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

Anyone got anything else going on with these rifles? I'm jonesing for some more cool stuff and this thread really slowed down lately.

The cartridge for the next 30 years….

I'd get a 6.5 CM. No way it isn't around in 30 years and still popular. It kills everything fine. It's fun to shoot. Modern bullets will be designed around the 6.5 CM cartridge. Barrel life isn't too short. Just a good all around decision IMO.

Help choosing ideal chambering/rifle to shoot lead free projectiles.

I'll admit I've not used those bullets, but what I have read is their BC is likely inflated enough that you may easily be at 1900fps at 500 yards not 600 using your muzzle velocity. Youd really wanna do your own validation before trusting that information. Just an FYI.

    Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

I wonder that too. Maybe sometime I'll try it with the 3-9 Leupold I have laying around in a cantilever mount. I would assume I'd would have to get below an inch with 5 shots more often than not.
