I have been thinking of getting a stainless takedown 10/22 with the backpacker stock. I dont have anything like this, but I would like to see what the guys of Rokslide have put together, rimfire or centerfire, that may give me ideas of which direction to go. Thanks!
I am keeping my eyes out for the upcoming Primary Arms GLX 1x microprosm. I think it's got a few months before it's available to the public though. That might be a good piece for these setups, although I like the Romeo so far.
I torqued 30, backed off, 30 backed off, then finally 40. The mass produced guns where the glass tube needs to pass through the barrel nut teeth are just cranked on until they get the opening to line up. I bet a lot of those are in the 60-80 range at times.
I also have heard accuracy is better...
I'd get a 6.5 CM. No way it isn't around in 30 years and still popular. It kills everything fine. It's fun to shoot. Modern bullets will be designed around the 6.5 CM cartridge. Barrel life isn't too short. Just a good all around decision IMO.
I'll admit I've not used those bullets, but what I have read is their BC is likely inflated enough that you may easily be at 1900fps at 500 yards not 600 using your muzzle velocity. Youd really wanna do your own validation before trusting that information. Just an FYI.
I wonder that too. Maybe sometime I'll try it with the 3-9 Leupold I have laying around in a cantilever mount. I would assume I'd would have to get below an inch with 5 shots more often than not.
