Average archery shot on mule deer??

Longest kill was 55. I would guess my average is 40-45 yds.

Do you worry about educating or blowing out bucks while scouting?

I accidentally bumped a great buck several weeks ago sneaking into an area. I gave him several days and entered the same area from the steep backside. He was 50 yards from where I bumped him feeding with some other bucks, so he didn't blow out of the area, but I agree with others that you...

Rangefinder with good angle compensation

I just picked up the Leica 1000-r. The optics are incredible and I hope to test out the angle compensation in the field soon.

Has anyone hunted unit 55 in colorado?

I hunted 55 in 2011. Phenomenal deer country and I saw some small 140-150ish bucks, but imo it still has a few years to go to even get close to being back to where it was previously.

Colorado?

Depends on your weapon of choice. If you are a bowhunter, yes there are some good areas that require no points. Ckleeves is right - do some simple research and go from there. Good luck!
