Meeker resident here. Agreed 1000%. I wont do business with many folks from the front range. Probably a petty thing to do, but its one small thing I can do to avoid them at all costs.
Same here. I live in Meeker and work in Hayden. I have never seen so many elk on my ay to work than I have the last month. Hundreds a day and they are belly deep in snow, sometimes the calves are barely able to see over the drifts.

I use an 1895 Chilean 7mm Mauser that was grandfathers. Still shoots well if I use heavy bullets. Not sure I would take it on a multiday backcountry hunt but its fun for coyotes and day hunts just walking in the woods.

Meeker resident here. The hunting has been crap this year with a 30mi radius around L07 where the 18 head were killed. I hope anyone that's in favor of the reintroduced wolves never has another cold beer and goes flaccid forever. It had been a rough year.
