Surprised this hasn’t sold. I have the same one. Fit and finish is great, weighs nothing, great at blocking wind, plenty warm to hike in when it’s below freezing. It’s my go to fishing jacket from 20-50 degrees. Best of luck with your sale.
I jumped on their website and there are 2 loads listed. They have the pdf that explains how to work up the reduced recoil loads. The only thing I’ll add is I started using nickel plated federal brass for the loads and I was having some blowback. Long story short the brass wasn’t expanding enough...
You could also look for a reduced recoil load. I believe it’s h4895. I load 90 gr speers in a 270 win at 2800 for my kids. Very easy to shoot, we only hunt whitetails though.
Watching this as well. I’m in the same boat, going this year with a group of elk hunters. Every year I elk hunt I see bears, hopefully this year is the same and I’ll have a bear tag. Best wishes
I made meta pads out of old insoles for last seasons hunt. It helped out but it’s still not 100%. My guess is the old Solomons are wore out and need replaced with a stiffer soled boot.
As mentioned earlier, I feel like the bow technology is pretty well maxed out. People like fast quiet bows and if you’re trying to produce what people like, there’s a good chance some of the innovation will be very similar if not the same.
I’ve been contemplating the same for awhile, ended up with the 6.5 saum and love it. I almost did the 284 on a tikka long action but ended up with a 2nd 6.5. I did a short barreled 6.5 creed for the kids. It will shoot the 143 eldx / 140 ab at 2700 with a 21” barrel. It’s pretty slick for what...
160 accubond @ 2650’/sec
162 eldx @ 2500’/sec
Both at 7000’ would get you beyond your goal
I think a 7mm08 with staball would be very close
284 win yep
280/280ai yep
7-6.5 prc yep
7 saum yep
I think your goal is definitely achievable with a 20” maybe even a 18” for the bottom 2.
