The only thing I’ll add is I started using nickel plated federal brass for the loads and I was having some blowback. Long story short the brass wasn’t expanding enough...

    You could also look for a reduced recoil load. I believe it’s h4895. I load 90 gr speers in a 270 win at 2800 for my kids. Very easy to shoot, we only hunt whitetails though.

    I made meta pads out of old insoles for last seasons hunt. It helped out but it’s still not 100%. My guess is the old Solomons are wore out and need replaced with a stiffer soled boot.
