For sale are my Cabelas Meindl Denali in size 9. These were one of the last stock at Cabelas after they stopped offering Cabelas Meindl boots. These are similar to the Meindl Vakuum hunter that Meindl started selling afterward.
I only wore these a few short times in the woods and they just...
Cabela's stopped carrying them since the Bass Pro takeover, so unfortunately online may be the only place. Fyi Meindl has some weird sizing, they describe it on their page of each boot, and it can vary by each model.
Have you looked at the Meindl boots from Meindl USA? The comfort fit are said to have decent toe room. See if they look different than your Cabela's versions..
I have a have a similar problem with shoes, need a more squared off wide toe box.
You might want to try Hanwag boots that have their "SF Extra" last. They are made to be wide in the forefoot and toe box but maybe more for the big toe..
I have the Banks SF Extra which has worked ok but is a...
Have you considered hip waders? Too tall & overkill for the depth of water?
I wear stocking foot waders that require separate boots. I only have experience with my cheap wading boots which may not have enough arch support for you but the expensive wading boots may have more support.
I just emailed hanwag a question and they responded within a couple days. I would ask them the question. But I'm wondering if your boot may have any other tag with a model # on it.
I just tried on Hanwag Ancash II GTX & Banks SF Extra GTX. Both are made with their "SF Extra" last which is wider in the forefoot with a wider toe box.
Ancash II GTX is not really a light hiker it's very stiff soled.
I would consider the Banks SF Extra a light hiker as the sole has some flex...
I wear Steger Mukluks and they are great, but I have only tried snowshoes on with them once. I worry a little bit about the plastic parts of my snowshoes that wrap around the foot & attach to the straps wearing on the rubber coating of them(they are the CamuksXtreme). My heel also slips more...
For what it's worth I have tried on Crispi Nevada's as well as Salomons(probably the quest), and the Crispi's have more toe width but both were narrow for my foot overall in D width. My feet measure to an E width.
How is the toe area in this boot? I need boots with a wide toe box. Also wondering how the flexibility is while walking.
I currently wear Steger Mukluks for ice fishing & time in the woods, but their construction & materials making them so flexible & comfortable also give them a narrow usage...
I see Hoka has a leather boot, I didn't know that. Toe box looks tapered so not sure in that regard. Hoka is one extreme(cushioning) where the Denalis and Nevadas are the other extreme(no cushioning). I don't necessarily need Hoka level cushioning but they are definitely an option.
Hi,
I have trouble finding boots to fit my feet because my feet are wide at the toes. I need a wide toe box. I wear Altra hiking shoes in the summer but they don't fit perfect and sometimes I want the support and water resistance of a leather boot, especially for winter snow hiking.
