My favorite for shotguns is G96, supposedly tested to -50 degrees and it is excellent as a rust preventative as well.

As others have said, it depends on how they use the area. Last season, I camped mid-mountain, which was a good 1200ft below where they were bedded, thinking that there was no way they would pass up all the good feed in the area to go all the way to the bottom each night to feed.

Just had a .300wm rebarrel and a stock inletted by LRI. While it was a challenging build based on expectations vs mag length restrictions and it had a bit more jump than I wanted, it shoots lights out so they haven’t heard any complaints from me.
Also props to them for having the intestinal...
I bought an LWRC almost 15 years ago and had enough reloaded ammo to last a while but I just went to buy components for the first time in at least a decade and I was amazed at how sparse it was from an availability perspective.

Its a topo of Moab, UT in browns, green & black.

Personally, I don't like flint and steel no matter how effective they might be (and this looks to be a good one) I prefer these, similar concept (can be put under water on fire and not go out) but I can be more precise on where the flame lands and it...
They specifically design them that way in case you need to dial below zero in a given scenario. Here are the instructions for the SHV (if you don't want the negative travel try starting over and being sure that the turret cap is pushed down firmly before torquing it back):
And here are the...
I live on ~8 acres and all the deer around here have become more nocturnal than they usually are...probably due to the extreme heat we had this summer, but they are nocturnal in general. Just wait until the rut fires up, they will be moving 24/7. Just saw some early rutting action this week and...
