I keep my bows in spec and no more than a pound or 2 over if they fall there while in spec. Most of that happened with factory strings. Even though I've never had an issue with catfish customs or gas strings...
In the past 5 years I've had a mathews vertix splinter a v3 x33 that was a month old. A bowtech solution splinter twice.. and more recently a elite omnia.. They don't make bows to shoot everyday imo. They know 90 % of bowhunters pull their Bow out in August then put it away in January..
Imo they have several issues.. The rattle, the wings cover half the blade on the 1.5 and get clogged with meat and hair.. They aren't sharp and the blade steel is weak.. as you can tell I'm not a fan..
You will have to put a bunch of weight on the front of those arrows to get to 550. I think you would need 250s. I draw 29.25 and shoot 75 lbs 150 up front and cut my 300 spines to 27.25. Much longer or more front weight I'd need 250s
At Texas this year there was very little stuff I would be interested in for sale.. No decent shirts hats etc. And very little food. I was expecting food vendors.. next year I'll be more prepared when it comes to eating..
