    Hot Tent tipi vs tent

You're going to really enjoy it! I've taken mine on a bikepacking trip with the stove. I stored my bike inside and was super comfortable with the stove going. Plenty of room.

    Hot Tent tipi vs tent

It TRULY does!! I had a late September trip in my Akto. I was glad I had a bomb shelter with the rain turn snow during the day as I had to hunker down. BUT...I was cramped in that tent for several hours waiting till the storm broke. And bored. I was in my rain gear but then got cold since I...

    Best 15 degree down bag

The exterior fabric of the bag laps over the arm holes. I was sceptical that there wasn't a closure but I saw some infrared video of the arm ports. No change in heat loss from that area. Pretty impressed. It really improves being able to do tasks in the tent while still in the bag.

Sold Gen 1 Toyota Tundra DC Topper

Selling my Gen 1 Toyota Tundra DC Topper. Excellent shape. The truck has about 130k on it and so does the topper. It's set up with lights so you just need to run wire from your battery and you're set. The bars do not come with the topper but obviously it has rails already mounted. The window has...

    Best 15 degree down bag

You owe it to yourself to look at the Peax Equipment Solace 15. Can turn into a quilt, 850+ fill hydrophobic down, arm ports, center trizip. It's a nice bag.

Seek outside shelter or similar…. Thoughts, recommendations? Wanting to make the switch from a freestanding dome tent to floorless/tipi hot tent

Check out the Peax Solitude 4. I had a SO Cimmiron and love the upgrade to the Peax. A lot more liveable features.

    Hot Tent tipi vs tent

I am fortunate enough to have acquired a few different tents over my hunting and backpacking life. I am up in Montana and would say that in those summer months, I tend to camp near lakes and there are always lots of mosquitos at dusk and dawn. I would recommend two tents if you can afford it. A...

    Hot Tent tipi vs tent

I just looked up that Onetigris. 5lbs is what their website calls it. I'll say my Cimm and stove are 6lbs all in. I have since upgraded to the Peax Solitude which has way more liveable space. Are you planning on packing it in? April - November you will likely encounter mosquitos so getting a...

    New Peax sleeping bag

I'm going to chime in here for some clarification. While I liked the idea of the Sitka sleeping bag there are some things I did not like, first thing was it is synthetic and will not pack down very small. Also synthetic bags tend to be a bit cheaper than this. 1) I have actually seen the...

Die hard solo backpack hunting convert to spike camp hot tent?

I used a Cimmiron w/stove for a 10 day solo moose hunt. Loved the space to spread out all my stuff. I used this Tipi for many trips both solo and with a hunting partner while skiing, climbing, and biking. I always wanted more from this tipi like, a bathtub floor option, steeper sidewalls and a...
