Chilkoot vs sonic and accompanying pads

I have the SG 15 and I love it. Packs down great and way lighter than anything I’ve used in the past from off the shelf to military sleep systems (iykyk). That being said I’ve used it when it was maybe 55+ out and it was too hot lol.

    NM Late Archery

    Synthetic Puffy Jacket Options

I have to say I love my sitka areolite. Fit, weight to warmth in my opinion is fantastic. I have not tried the other options other than an old Eddie Bauer synthetic (I think). I have been outside in 26 weather with just the jacket and a tshirt and while I was not hot, I was surprisingly warm.

    Woobie?

Best comment yet lol. That being said, I try and bring my woobie anywhere I'm not backpacking and trying to get the most bang for my buck . I haven't noticed a difference between issued or aftermarket.

    FNG TX/NM

That’s the plan, my dad and cousin are NM residents and they went on a hunt last year but didn’t draw again this year. Not yet successful on a bull. Brother…. You ain’t kidding. Family is in the cattle business so it makes sense. You would be surprised as the wildlife out there. Have actually...

I see it as a good lesson learned. At least now you can approach with the newfound knowledge. I’m jealous you got to go up and even look this year.
