Which broadhead are you guys using?

I keep iron will wides and rms cutthroat 3 blades in my quiver. Hard to argue with the durability, consistency and toughness of the iron will, and the cutthroat 3 blades do some damage. I carry both with the intention of using the cutthroat 3 blade on softer game, closer range (bears), and iron...

Aspens in SW CO Around October 1?

Depends on elevation but there should leaves still. This photo was on Sept. 26 near central Colorado a couple years back, around 9800’, so Gunny/San Juan should still be good leaf peepin. Should be a great trip!

Newberg says a $40 elk tag (or whatever it cost) is a $25,000 elk tag for residents.

You all sure you’re not actually anti-hunters? Lots of emotional arguing going on haha

    Montrose, CO Training Hikes

I moved to Montrose last summer and I’m looking for a nice spot l close to town to do training hikes. Anyone from the area, familiar? I’d love to find something less than 30min away, if it’s further than that I might just stick to the stair master at golds, for time sake.

    Wool socks

Hard to beat darn tough in my opinion. Bought 7 pair back in 2017, all 7 wore a hole in the ball of the foot within the same month 5 years later in 2022. Went ahead and just bought 7 more pair haha, figured I got my moneys worth. Has anyone taken advantage of their lifetime warranty? How was...

    Beard oil?

It helps me out with itchy beard but if you don’t apply it daily it’ll just wear off/soak in. You can avoid the scents and just get a plain jojoba oil off Amazon, that’s what I use. Not sure if it’s worth packing into the backcountry but that’s up to you.

OnX Hunt Maps vs GoHunt Maps

I’ve heard it’s improved a ton since their first launch. I’m considering trying it out this season to see if I can totally switch

How to catch an untrapable mouse.

The best combo I’ve ever used is a jelly bean crammed onto the hook of one of the classic victor snap traps. They love the sugary jelly bean smell and it is so gooey they can’t eat it without triggering the trap. Caught 55+ mice this way a few winters ago.
