When my two Draths were in their prime (3 to 9 yrs old) I would hunt them together and they each would put on about 25 miles a day. We would hunt 5 days in a row and they were going as hard on day 5 as day 1. This was in SD hunting pheasants in Nov Dec. We would hunt a half a dozen spots in a...
I use ammoseek to find reloading components like powder and primers. They text you whenever the product your looking for shows up. https://ammoseek.com/
In the late season, Dec and Jan, we have not seen rain or mist but we have seen a lot of snow. Most of it blowing sideways and filling the cattails and grass sloughs. In those condition tall gaiters work great.
I don't have a problem getting cold when hunting pheasants so I use KUIU Yukon Gaiters and my normal light weight hunting pants. Hunt Dec and Jan for pheasants in SD using this setup. Will add long underwear when it gets below zero. I hunt a mixture of cattails and grass lands.
I have two kennels that fit behind the front seat of my 4 door truck or in the truck bed. They are always strapped down to protect me and the dogs in case of an accident. I would get the Sequoia or a four door truck with a topper for the added space over the 4 runner.
This is not how mine works. The heath share went out of their way to explain that they are not insurance. As far as billing goes the Heath Share I belong to said to have my heath provider bill them directly but my health care provider treats heath shares as self pay. Also my deductible is much...
I just joined Solidarity Heath Share this spring and have not turned in a bill yet so I haven't gone through the billing/reimbursement process. You should check with the health care provider you use and see if they do direct billing to health shares, some do. Mine doesn't so I need to turn in my...
My dad who turn 93 in May had his right leg amputated just above the knee this winter. He is still looking forward to deer hunting this fall with a crossbow. He doesn't go far to his ground blinds anymore and has lots of help if he gets a deer. One thing he said is if your doing it because of...
I find it interesting that they say wolves often prowl roads. It wasn't to long ago that they said we had to limit roads because wolves would shy away from them. It was one of the ways they tried to limit roads in National forest in N Minnesota.
I had retrievers in the past but switched to the DD about 20 years ago. At this time we have 2, one is 10 and the other is 8. They have a ton of energy even at their ages, love the water and are a lot of fun to have around. Ours do fine in the house, with people and are good with other dogs.
