    Most certainly the northern hunter was the knife that inspired me and sent me down the rabbit hole.Like I've said before "knife makers aren't doing anything new other than small changes to an old designs".

    I would try to get the grind topped out near the handle just barely showing the transition, leaving just a bit unground at wide part of the blade. I'm about 3.5 degrees per side on .080 and little over 4 on the .106 stock to get to .010 at the edge.

    Great reviews! Can't wait to see the final product. I've been carrying a #2 , haven't had it on a cridder but it cuts tomatoes like crazy.

    I second that ,buy some quality bags from LS wild... And definitely stay away from a lead sled.

    I can do the same... but likely could buy quite a few customs for what I have invested in knife making tools. But it is nice if you see sometime you want to try out.
