Super underrated round. My old man has a model 70 chambered in 280 rem and he let me borrow it on an elk hunt. I used it to take my first bull shooting a 140 gr barnes ttsx. It’s a shame it never got the love that the 270 win did- danny6172

How often do you miss big game with a scoped rifle?
The first deer I ever shot at I missed badly due to buck fever. 5 clean misses at 250 yards at the same buck. 2 hours later I hit and killed a buck while he was running. Go figure. Haven’t missed since with a scoped rifle since. Archery is a different story. -
