Family tents that can handle some weather

I personally do not but it is largely considered one of the best value tents for extreme weather conditions. Many Alaskan guides use them and have seen them in literally hundreds of videos. Not sure if the reviews are model specific or not but most people prefer the poles of the instinct...

    Opinion on Stone Glacier cloths

I don't have much, but what I do, is quality. De havilland jacket is a great soft shell and their helio zip off bottoms are great. I liked their merino base layer bottoms as well with regards to feel but they didn't fit.

Hot weather pants - OR Ferrosi vs FL Trace vs Kuiu Tiburon

I have tiburons and have ordered and tried on the trace. Tiburons fit me better, fabric is similar. Honestly I think the 3/4 length no mesh back zipper vents of either the stone glacier de Havilland lite or the fist lite corrugate foundry pants are pretty close to equal to both.

Better way to pack sleeping bag?

I have used a sea to summit roll top dry bag. Put the sleep system in it, lay on top to compress it flat, roll and seal the top. Then the flat rectangular bag loads nicely on my exo load shelf.

    Finances for addicts

Not 100% sure but that rate would only apply to those with a taxable income over $1,000,000.

    Looking for drop camp partner(s)

Best bet is a two for one. My wife is coming with me elk hunting this November and is planning on helping me butcher and pack my next moose. She doesn't hunt but enjoys the process.

    2024 AK Moose Prep

I brought home half of my moose, 287 lbs boned out weight plus split skull cap and shoulder mount cape. It cost me about $2,650 from remote village to freezer. That included $1/lb to debone in village plus $2/lb to cut and wrap steaks, freight rate out of village to anchorage, Nick's fees and...

    Long Range Scope Help

I agree with others stating poor glass on NXS. I just couldn't buy it. Switching from Zeiss to nightforce for exposed turrets and reliability. The NX8 had significantly brighter glass and better colors to me than the NXS. With the demo model the price was close enough that I went NX8. Credo...

    325 WSM?

I have a browning 325 wsm that shoots 200gr hammers in a clover leaf at 100 yards. In general it is a pretty good shooter but really loves the hammers. 200gr accubonds around moa. I don't hand load so that is really the downfall for me. I get hand loads from Hendershots in MD that perform...

Copper Spur vs Nemo ( and maybe TarpTent) - which one?

My wife and I bought both the Nemo dragonfly and copper spur in 3 person versions for the two of us and our dog. We set them up side by side in the yard and tested the out. Ultimately we kept the Nemo. It felt larger on the interior, definitely had bigger vestibules. It also felt nicer...

    Kimber 375 h&h

I don't know but man would I love if kimber started manufacturing the Talkeetna again. They pop up from time to time on gunbroker selling for about $1000 over the original msrp. Pretty crazy. Good luck.

Why does First Lite Customer Service suck?

I had an issue with first lite customer service a couple years ago. To preface, it was my fault, I ordered several items on sale, two sizes of each item(first time ordering from them and solidly between sizes). I breezed over their return policy and assumed I could return the ones that didn't...
