My Dad has amassed 27 resident elk PP while hunting OTC elk his whole life. We are ready to burn them, but are vacillating between 4 hunt options. Considering all of these options have now become once in a lifetime hunts, I figured some people would be more willing to share opinions.

As a resident I agree with A6/R6. The OTC strategy is arguably not wildlife management at all when they don’t conduct mandatory post hunt surveys. They have no idea how many people are hunting a given unit and have no idea how many elk are being killed. Would prefer CPW to do what they are paid...

Had a friend do the three forks ranch deer RFW hunt. He shot his buck in the first hour. I’ve hunted antelope and elk on RFW tags and had great experiences with both. However, the three forks tag will take over 20 points to draw. They provide a guide for free and transport your game free of charge.
Ya he was never an avid mule deer guy and hunted second choice tags all these years. I don’t think he will draw but we ended up putting in for the Hill ranch rfw hunt. He’s will to wait as long as it takes. It’s about the experience at this point and seeing a lot of deer so I think we will wait...
My dad has 25 resident preference points for deer in CO. At this point I realize he can go just about anywhere in the state, which is a bit daunting. I'm seeking more expert advice on what you guys would do with 25 PP. He is in ok physical condition. Would you guys look at ranching for wildlife...
My dad and I each have 2 points for Deer and Antelope in Wyoming and are looking for outfitter recommendations. We would be interested in a combo hunt, but would also just do one species at a time if we found the right outfitter. Any thoughts or recommendations would be much appreciated. We...
