The BOB via a 2nd hand place like Facebook marketplace is good. Tougher terrain and the Osprey backpack is awesome. Did lots of big hikes in the National Parks out west with the 2 year old in that. Easy on the back and comfy enough they’ll fall asleep up top.

That said, if you have a down sleeping bag, you don't want to store it compressed. So I hang my bag in the closet from the loop on it. Not sure if that's exactly the right way but the loft has always been good when doing that.
Eddie Bauer Guide Pro Pants are my go to. Buy them on sale as you can usually find them under $50 at various times a year. Buy them with some space for layers and you can wear them in a Texas Summer all the way up to a winter hunt.
