I have a 17” gray riser with medium Kuiu verde 50# limbs
it goes from 52# to 56# @ 28” . I have a matching carbon 2 piece Hoyt quiver and bow case . 625.00 Tyd 336-817-6991
I know how you’re feeling ... I bought my first ILF bow This year, a Hoyt satori and I can honestly say its The best shooting bow I've ever owned. I recently went to an elevated rest and my Shooting is better than ever . I’ve shot traditional for 35 years and I hate to admit it but the ILF bows...
Exactly , a 22 would seem the obvious choice but as you said, not much for any sort of protection. I have carried that 40 cal for years and never needed it for protection from anything but the next time may be different. On the other hand, I have had numerous opportunity to shoot some small...
The things you mentioned are true, personal protection, emergency ( or , running out of food and needing to shoot that grouse or squirrel). That’s why I think with the small game loads added, it would Allow me to use the same gun for both. No criticism taken.
Do any of you carry a light weight, rifle while backpacking for extended trips ? I’m thinking of shortening a 308 for this purpose, carrying standard and reduced small game loads. I’ve always carried a 40 caliber pistol but I’m thinking a rifle would be more useful, although heavier.
Take a look at the mors bush pot by four dog stove co., ive been using one for 2 years for cooking on the fire and still good as new. I can fit a titanium bowl, cup, and spork in there no problem, I’m sure a small stove and fuel can would fit too. I got mine from Ben’s Backwoods
T(asks for the info, that answered a lot of questions I had. I fit all my gear and 2 days of food in a badlands diablo I have just to see where I am at with bag size. Now mind you, I did not have the down jacket, base layer top, and extra pair of socks I would normally pack but it would have all...
For those of you who have this pack, do you think it would work for 1-2 night stays ? I’m considering it for backpacking and whitetail hunting. My gear is down to a minimum, with a base weight of 13 #. I have a Dt 2 on a 26” frame and its great but a little much for spring, summer backpacking...
I have had the 35 degree Sierra sniveler for 4 years. It has the dry down and the shell resists moisture reasonably well, I think it weighs 1# 9 oz. For me, it isn't true to temp but I'm a cold sleeper. I got the flannel liner with it and using both is comfortable to me down to around 30. It...
They are a lot bigger than you're probably used too, that was my impression when I got it. I'm sure it will fit ok with the right compression sack as others have said, what really surprised me was the weight. The advertised weight is 5# for the long, wide, 0 . Mine weighs 6.2, not too happy...
