For those in BC / Canada: Budget shooter supply in Richmond is getting a couple 500 packs in at a time, fairly regularly.
Brent is the new owner and a great guy to deal with.
Doesn't he make money selling articles to magazines that spout "penetration and mushrooming"?
I'm sure some magazine sponsors would have a few things to say if they learned he was telling people a reliably opening match bullet will do everything you need.
Pharmseller would you happen to know the c.o.a.l. of your 75 eldm load?
I'm as green as it gets with reloading and would like to have a base to start with for length
Tmks are somehow making their way into Canada. I managed to pick up a thousand at a dealer. They'll be shared between myself and another member and his brother. Maybe it's the start of something good?
My wife and I (well me anyways) had the first meal from it tonight. Veggies in the grill basket with steak strips added in when the onions were going clear.
It was very delightful. 😀
I was able to take my first deer this week, little 4x3 mule deer.
It was not the toughest hunt but it did involve a 5 minute walk and 45 minutes of sitting on a plastic folding chair. 😁
It was with a much larger buck but buddy owns the land and likes the bigger ones for himself.
I ended up with...
I'm using a tikka t3x 1in8 twist.
Stainless but wearing a walnut stock. I'm weird I know, but I would rather scratch a walnut stock than have to use synthetic.
I'm modifying the factory mag to fit the 75 Eldm.
Moose83 you aren't in smithers by some chance are you?
New guy here,
I read the entire 415 pages :)
I was taking notes but don't have anything written down about a 75 eldm recipe?
Unfortunately in northern bc the only heavy grain bullet available around is the 75gr eldm. The tmk is unobtainable
Is anyone willing to share a recipe?
I'd like to pm...
