What to do with wrecked car?

Fix it yourself. My wife hit a deer. There was about that amount of damage to her 2014 Acadia. Two quotes from repair shops were just over $8000. Once they got it apart, they said there is an additional $4000 for a total of $12,000 dollars in parts. I'm pretty sure the insurance is going to...

    Yuma and El Centro

I lived in El Centro for 10 years and still have friends in that area. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I go down to visit every few years but haven't lived there in 15 years. Love my friends there but pretty much hated the area. The road between Yuma and El Centro is an easy...

    Nevada Draw Results 2023

Didn't draw elk but got a horns shorter than ears antelope tag. It's in an area I've never been in but it will be fun to explore the area and learn.

    Kifaru Bino Harness

I know most rangefinders don't but the kilo 2400 ABS and perhaps others have a compass built in that could be affected by magnets. I've never personally had a problem but depending on how you use it, it could be a problem.

    Whats in your wallet?.......

I've gone back and forth through the years. For me a leather wallet was too thick. I tried the money clip a few times and it wasn't for me. I find the ability to flex and being thin is important for me. I've been using this wallet https://www.all-ett.com/ They don't last as long but it's worth...

    Knee Pads for Construction

I'm a home inspector and use the same ones. They stay put when crawling under a home. The pest inspectors I know use the same ones.

    Disappointed in OnX

I still have an onx subscription but only use it for a back up. They've told me for 3 years they were going to change the way the app handles downloads. They haven't and that's why I use Gaia too.

    A "Rokslide etiquette" list

I think that's a good idea. Several years ago I asked a newbie question and was helped privately. I very much appreciated the help because it was for my daughter.

WTB looking for a Kifaru Ultralight pack

Just wanted to encourage you to not give up. I have the larger ultralight and love it. I looked for a long time and finally one came up for sale here and the seller was about 20 miles from me. I love it. You will find one but you can't be in a hurry. Matt

    Merino boxers.... am I nuts?

I've tried many different brands but not either of the ones you've listed. I love them but have given up on wool for underwear because it wears out quickly. It. It might be fine for a hunt but not daily wear.

Does it have the poles or is it the bedroll only?

    Under Cooked Chicken

You will almost never find an authoritative source that lists less than 165 for chicken. However, in my opinion that is because they are afraid of lawsuits. The government suggests 165 for chicken and so that's what most people do. I listen to a lot of podcasts with chefs and I believe Laramie...

    Deer/Elk Breakfast Sausage

I've never tried this with anything but pork. Here is my go-to for pork breakfast sausage. I've made a lot of versions on the net and ended up modifying several to come up with this. 1 lb pork 1 ts salt (if kosher use 2 ts) ½ ts cayenne pepper ½ ts black pepper ½ ts sage ¼ ts thyme 1/8 ts...
