I'd prefer 4-16x but 3-12 could work just fine as well. I'd also want to see an adjustable Parallax down to 20 yards to work well in rimfire applications too.
It takes a minute for the thermometer to adjust to ambient temp. Have you tried swinging the BR4 around like a kestrel to get it to adjust?
I make sure my BR4 stays out of the sun and I know that it's going to read different than ambient if it's been against my warm body even though it's in...
Mine would never even show any battery depletion. I checked it the night before the hunt, 10 hours later it was dead as a door nail and cost me an animal. I was pretty dang annoyed.
I too think the Bluetooth can be a problem. My original unit would stay connected to my phone for a LONG time...
I have seen a few others complain about battery life, but none seemed to be as bad as mine. My new unit has been great.
The overall size of the RF is a little larger than other offerings which is just something you should be aware of. It is a tight fit in my Kifaru RF pouch.
The crew at Gunwerks talked to me about some issues I had with my old BR4 where it would die without giving me any warning that the battery was low. It was also draining the batteries very quickly as I wouldn't even get a year out of the battery with light use.
The new unit they sent has...
I blew my swaro binos up when I sent them flying down a mountain. It cracked the ocular lenses, and they still didn't fog up while I used them for the rest of the year. If you don't notice anything wrong, you'll likely be fine.
ARC MBrace Rings are my favorite. Single screw tightening is so dang nice.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see how well these stacked up against the CL. My 8x32 EL's are still one of my favorite binos ever and these UHD seem like they'll be very similar optical quality. Coming with a nice harness is icing on the cake.
I’ve got a 3.5-15X that’s been a real work horse for me, but I’ll be swapping it out for a 2.5-10x for the half pound weight savings on a lighter weight build.
You can’t go wrong with either.
That video was great. If anything, it left me more impressed with the Vortex than I thought I'd be. I also still really want to try a compact spotter in the field but my brain keeps telling me to just suck it up and pack the big girl around.
Mine randomly won’t give a solution on a range but if I shoot the range again it will. I’ve never been able to figure out why it doesn’t give a solution once in a while.
