I'm on the fence about the SO Broadwing, reading reviews like yours are encouraging, do you think the side pockets will still be useable in a day pack mode, with little to nothing in the main bag? I wanna stow walking sticks, tripod, maybe rifle, and spotting scope with basically nothing in the main bag. Curious your thoughts since you have a pack and I can't find hardly any pics of the pack unloaded.
