What's up guys?
So I have a dilemma… I have a Seekins Precision Havak PH2 chambered in 7 PRC that is my main hunting gun. It has a 26 inch barrel And I would like to shoot suppressed, but obviously a 26 inch barrel plus a 6 inch suppressor is going to be a pain in the ass in a hunting blind, so...
Hey y'all,
My name is Tyler and I'm kind of a FNG. I've been on rokslide for about a year now and posted/participated in a few posts but never really introduced myself. I'm 31 from Omaha NE and I've been an avid hunter and shooters since I was about six years old. Did some in the army where I...
That's really the only downside of the PH2, I had a hell of a time finding a company that had inlay options for them. Manners doesn't either (my first choice). Some people will try to tell you it's a Rem 700 footprint, but after talking to a Seekins rep that's only partially true. It is...
Oh no doubt that Hornady rushed ammo production initially and definitely had over pressure issues, which I'm sure fed into the bad rap CA was getting, on top of some of their guns having QC issues. And they're definitely are CA rifles that are lights out shooters, a couple buddies of mine shoot...
@Mtank79 not to rain on your parade, but if it doesn't group well it's probably not you. I've heard of a lot of people that have had quality/accuracy/high pressure issues with their Christiansen Arms 7 prc rifles for some reason. Some people think it's because of the tight chamber specs or...
Honestly, probably the PH2. I didn't have the mountain pro, just the regular xbolt and I loved it so I'm sure the mountain pro is great, but I'd still go with the PH2. It's my new favorite, my "go to". It shoots phenomenal, damn near half moa with anything I feed it (could probably do better...
Oh I loved my browning xbolt. I think they're great rifles. I had just wanted a 7 prc, couldn't find an xbolt in 7 prc at the time, and a buddy had a PH2 and highly recommended the Seekins PH2 so I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did.
Yeah, I ended up trading my Browning 6.8 western towards my 7 prc. I feel like a lot of people probably did, or opted to go with the prc. Not to say that the 6.8 doesn't have it's perks, I just think the prc is a better long range big game cartridge with more/better bullet options.
Yeah I got really lucky lol. I went into Scheels (in July) and it was the day after they got a shipment of new 7 PRC rifles and they were already sold out, but I talked to one of the gun sales guys and he helped me track one down in stock at another Scheels. It was the only Seekins 7 PRC in...
