Basically boils down to Pine Valley Unit or Panguitch Lake unit. Both seem to be about the same on the draw odds. I did just learn that my 2 sons can draw an archery tag in these units as well by being Youth archery applications.
That's a damn shame. Well I will roll the dice this year. Next year I will have 9 pp in Colorado for Deer so, hopefully I will get in a better situation. I know a lot of folks ask me why I have so many points, but the truth is with you typically hunt with family, dad/kids its not easy to hunt...
I understand what you are saying. But half the fun is seeing new country for me. And like I mentioned above a group of 5 guys I know hunted the area last year. They have also hunted that unit 3 times before and said the numbers of deer was nothing close to what we experienced in the past.
I have hunted that unit twice in the past, Was hoping to see some new country. My friends hunted the unit last year, they did not find many deer. 1 out of 5 guys got a 140-150 size buck. the rest ate tag soup.
No, I will not be hunting in a rifle season. I only hunt in the archery seasons. I saved points because I was hunting in different states at the time. Planned to bring some family, etc.
I am a non-resident, Taditional archer, I have saved up 6 Points for a Utah General deer tag. Using some of the filtering on GoHunt it shows 7 different units that I can draw 100%. FOLMORE, LA SAL/LA SAL MTNS, NINE MILE, Plateau Boulder/Kaiparowits, San Juan Abajo Mtns, South Slope...
Yes I have some at home currently. Just going to take a shaft this stiff to do what my friends wants. Only downside I see using the grizzly stick shaft is the O.D. if I use a hit insert and an collar from ethics archery etc, the collar has a larger dia than iron will broadheads do. So I may have...
Does anyone have any leads to where I could find a dozen of these shafts. I am trying to build a set for a guy to use on Cape Buffalo and we have picked out all the components etc but I have been calling all over and searching online but can't seem to find these.. Thanks for any help/advice.
That was a ski shell jacket and bibs for rain gear. Was bow hunting "traditional" but we had no chance with bows due to lack of cover. It was a cold nasty day when I climbed up and killed him with the lever action 444 bear gun at 300 yds.
