A lot of it has already been covered. One comb I've found that works wonders is the Conair Styling Essentials Wide-Tooth lift comb. With the wider teeth on one end, you can get around the burr and pull it out. I keep one in my bird vest at all times.
My pup has progressed well. We did the NA test this past Friday with the Inland Empire Chapter (CA) and she got a 112 Prize 1. I was thrilled at how well she did. She's 9 months now and continues to impress me daily. Now it's time for quail/chukar/duck season.
How are you liking the sidekick system after using it more? I'm looking at getting that vs the Summit as most my hunting here in CA is driving around on the RZR or Ranger then hopping out and walking/hiking prior to coming back to the SxS and being mobile again.
Was thinking the sidekick...
I hadn't heard about those before but now I'm intrigued and will be following along. Just did some google searching on them. Sounds like a rewarding but extremely difficult hunt.

My newest addition to the arsenal, Hazyl, a wirehaired pointing Griffon. She will be 10 weeks old this Saturday. She’s picking things up pretty quickly so far and it should be a fun bird season this fall.

Congrats, that’s not a bad price for that bike. I’m sure you will enjoy it. If your doing any downhill/technical rides, I suggest getting some knee and elbow pads. Also some good chamois will make the ride much more enjoyable at the end of the day.
