How well does the Powermax group for you with field points and broadheads?
Can you shoot decent groups now? Or do you need to work on your shooting skill?
I assume that you know the basics of rest setup, knock position, done some paper tuning, and maybe checked cam timing?
A handy trick is to...
Your Powermax is super easy to tune.
You don't need a press to tune the Powermax.
Learn to tune the bow and arrows you got right now!
Then, once you have a good understanding of tuning and what works for you and your needs, use that priceless knowledge to figure out if you really want a new...
Heard about them last month and have been anxious to see them in person.
I'm super impressed by the 8x40 SFL. Did an extended comparison against NL and EL, and overall found the SFL to be better - better stray light control than both Swaros and similar resolution to the NL. Samples of one...
Man, that was several years ago. Maybe up to 10 years ago - people have been messing with different shims for a long time.
The discussion was probably at 24hrC. If I had to wager, it wasn't a concern about moisture but the guts.
I skimmed this thread and saw this regarding the 5-20x:

Maybe I missed it, but has anyone checked with SWFA to see if they condone shims for the 3-9x?
Several years ago people asked and SWFA's response was that shims / hose washers were OK for the fixed powers but not the 3-9x.
It was at the end of the day, and I knew they were wrapping up, so I didn't put it on a tripod. I tried it handheld but wasn't that impressed. I don't know if it was a production unit or prototype.
Once they hit stores, I'll check it out again.
Good thread!
What is impressive to me is that some of these lightweight options include hip belt pockets, shoulder strap pockets, and front panel pockets.
Some hunting packs do not have those pockets at the base weight, so the weight difference is even greater if they have similar storage...
I saw the latest from SIG at a recent show, but didn't spend much time with it.
SIG had other image stabilized spotters a few years ago. IIRC, they were all compact designs.
Any prize for guessing the middle man correctly?!
HORUS is my guess.
They'd be a good fit - they share resources with Nightforce and are located in Idaho.
No. There are some issues with the test method.
Mr. Avery asked me not to share alternative methods or improvements, and I respect that request. There is one method - the official Rokslide method.
My only suggestion is to improve the reporting.
Well, that explains it.
Too much information?!
I get your points. But you may want to take a moment to realize that negative results are being publicly posted about another organization's product(s). Their scopes, correct?
And the reporting would benefit from details to support the...
