Your welcome. You'll find some trees, maybe not all stand friendly though. I wouldn't be afraid of hunting from the ground at all in that country with some cover. Don't be afraid to knock on doors. A lot of guys are moving cattle off of summer grass, to stalks and winter wheat fields for temporary grazing. Usually those fences are electric, and deer make a mess of them; so the rancher is glad to have a deer or 12 killed.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm going to be staying in Smith center so will be trying those walk ins straight north of there. I'm wanting to hunt from a tree stand so hopefully I can find some trees. -
