While Yeti is known for its indestructible coolers, that is not all they offer. One of their products that were built with toughness and waterproofing in mind is the Panga duffel. Offered in 50, 75, and 100 liters to tailor to your specific needs. See the Yeti Panga here.

Yeti Panga Duffel

The Panga duffel is made of a puncture-resistant material that has proven very tough. The bottom is made of a harder molded material to help with abrasion where the bag will be most used. The duffel comes with a large shoulder strap and two large handles designed to be used as backpack-style straps. The straps are adjustable in length. This is the preferred way to carry the bag, especially when loaded heavily. Also attached to the outside of the bag are two grab handles located on each end.

Durability

I have run the 100L version for a while, and it has performed flawlessly. It has been down rivers and seen multiple states on multiple trips. I have stuffed it with a ton of weight in optics, ammo, and other hunting necessities. Even after really stretching on the waterproof zippers, the Pana has never leaked. Being a waterproof bag, the zipper seems to be the weak link and does require maintenance. Yeti sends a tube of zipper lube with the bag to help keep it in good shape. The zipper pull is an oversized t-handle that has proven necessary as the zipper is hard to operate.

Inside the bag, you will find two mesh pockets big enough to hold some small items. You will also find a small hook on one side and a loop on the other. This setup is designed to take some of the weight off of the zipper.

Panga Colors

The Panga is offered in tan, as well as a storm gray. I worried the tan would hold dirt and grime in the material. However, after getting the bag muddy on a hunting trip, I was pleasantly surprised to watch the mud drip away with my thumb over the end of a garden hose. The inside has a smooth finish, making it easy to wipe the small stuff that ends up at the bottom of a bag after a long trip.

Conclusion

The Panga is now my go-to bag for trips, whether hunting out of state or taking the family to Disneyland. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by its durability and well-thought-out design.

The Panga retails for between $300 and $400, depending on the size, and can be found at Yeti retailers and the Yeti website.
