Anyone know anything about this tent? Its starting to pop up on clearance and seems like it has potential for the price.

I found one review saying the fly part is ~3.5lb and poles are ~1.5lb so using trekking poles with extensions saves some weight if desired (or string it to trees if available). Only a single door but dual upper vents. Sod skirt to pin down a side in wind, would need to prop up the sides in nice weather for airflow. The yellow is a turnoff for some I realize.

I have the larger 4 brothers model. Had it for 6 or 7 years. I had a stove jack sewn in and run it with a stove most of the time. It breaths well and I don't get tons of condensation even with it tight to the ground. It has tons of places for guy lines including the peaks where the poles go. I utilize all of these. The main down side to this tent is the shape. As an A frame design it has big sides that can get hit hard by wind unlike a teepee. This is why I stake mine down real good and tie off at least one peak to a tree. I would not use this tent in high alpine where there is no trees to tie off to or wind breaks. This has been a great tent for me and only cost me $400 with stove jack. I only put mine in the timber tho. I am 5'9" and can stand with boots on in the center of my tent.

I can see the longer wall catching some wind, otherwise the rest of the angles aren't that far off some tipis. Does facing the rear into the wind do decent?

Edit: By the way I think we're talking about the same shelter, the smaller one is the twin sister, this is the larger one called twin brother. Unless there was a third even larger one?

Yea if you knew for sure that the wind was gona hit just the back then is would be amazing in any wind. However that is kind of a pipe dream. I always try to position it so wind hits front or back. My tent is quite a bit bigger and I would not trust it in wind higher than 20 to 25mph. Its a damn well made tent but can be a kite if a crazy wind storm hit. I had a crazy micro burst hit camp in the bob marshall wilderness a few years back. This was 50 to 60 mph winds. I only had the front of the tent tied off to a tree and that ****er was flying around in the air like a kite when I made it back to camp. My buddys sleeping bag blew 500 yards from camp. This storm was breaking 15 inch diameter trees. I not sure how other tents would have held up to this extreme wind. The MSR only got one small tear and the guyline on the peak did not tear which is incredible. The tent is tuff as **** but the height and design is not wind friendly.
