    WTB Swaro Range Binos

I have some brand new EL Range 8x42 non-TA I could let go. I got them from the EurpOptic close out sale a couple months ago and I’ve only looked through the binoculars from my deck. I haven’t unboxed any accessories yet.

How high does that mount place the dot above the rail?

O/U firing both barrels at once

Unfortunately all I have is skeet chokes and that Tom was at 30 yards so we definitely have some shot to sift out of him.

I stopped by Bass Pro Shops on my way home yesterday. This is insanity!

It’s not that he made our powder more expensive, but our dollars cheaper. His so called inflation control act did the opposite of controlling inflation. It flooded the world with extra dollars and his other policies, like curbing oil extraction, have hamstrung the economy’s ability to keep...

O/U firing both barrels at once

I’ve had this shotgun 20+ years and that was the first time it shot both barrels at once. It definitely got my 105lb son’s attention. Those bismuth turkey loads are fairly stout but I’m glad it wasn’t a 12 gauge with slugs!

O/U firing both barrels at once

My son just killed a turkey with my old Ruger Red label 20 gauge and it fired both barrels at once. Has anyone experienced this and/or know what might have caused it and how to prevent it?

    DIY RokStok in maple

For those interested in inexpensive, functional wood I just contacted Cousineau through their website and they say they still have maple, birch, and walnut blanks for sale although I couldn’t find the blanks online anywhere.

    UPS lost my breasts

We just roasted a whole wild Tom and everyone thought it was the best turkey they’d eaten. I didn’t even brine it or baste it. I just slathered it in butter and put it in the oven until it got to 165. My wife made stock from the bones and that has been some delicious soup. Leftover meat made...

    DIY RokStok in maple

I could easily hollow out the rear of the stock and the forend (which currently has a decent gap under the barrel) and reduce it by about 4 oz but my rifle is at 9.4lbs which is a good weight for me to shoot. If I ever get super proficient at shooting I might put a lighter barrel on and lighten...

    6.5 Elk bullet

IF your NF F1 SHV is in MRAD, use whichever bullet/load best lines up with these elevation adjustments: {1 mil for 300yds, 2 mil for 400 yards, 3 mil for 500 yards, etc} for the atmospheric conditions you plan to hunt in (altitude, temp, etc). One of those probably lines up very close out to 600...

This tripod cleaned up nicely. You can see all the scratches on the legs in the last photo.

    DIY RokStok in maple

Shoots great in this stock! 5 rounds in an inch or so. I was hoping to see the holes appear in the paper at 100 yards but recoil wasn’t quite that smooth. I’m sure I’ll be able to watch bullet splatter on steel at 300 or so.
