    I’ve had both and still own 2 tikkas. For me tikkas just feel right, not that the brownings feel bad or shoot bad, they just don’t feel as good as the tikkas. Plus the aftermarket support for tikka is great as well.

    7prc ELD-X Hornady vs Federal?

    I’ve shot both, Hornady was slower avg 2776 fps with a higher ES mid 50s if I recall, groups were good though. Federal avg 2883 fps with ES in the low 30s and groups .5-75 moa. Either would do, but I’ll take the better groups which just so happens to be faster as well

    Federal seems to be killing it with their 7prc offerings, the 175 eld-x shoots lights out in my fierce and avg 107fps faster than Hornady. How are you liking the Trijicon? I have the same scope on my 7PRC with roughly 300 rounds on it and I’ve been impressed so far.

    Scope mounting loctite or not?

    Holy f@ck this went to hell in a hurry. I use blue loctite because it works and gives peace of mind that the screws won’t one loose. Don’t use loctite, won’t hurt my feelings, but if I can lower the chances of something going wrong I will.

    Scope mounting loctite or not?

    I’ve always used blue loctite on bases and rings. Use to torque to spec but now I torque to 20-22” lbs on the rings.

    What’s going on with the Factory Hornady 7 PRC ammo?????

    Not sure if anyone else has tried the nosler but my gun hated it, was out again today to do some more shooting and picked a box up to try. Hornady eldm averaged 2797 fps with a .736 moa 5 shot group and the Nosler while quite a bit faster at 2938 fps averaged a 4.08 moa 5 shot group.

    I bought a carbon rogue 7PRC and couldn’t be happier. Didn’t love factory eld-x but shoots the eld-m great. If I would have read the Fierce disaster thread before hand I may not have bought one, but I’m happy with it.
