I'll be testing out the new Muskeg bag (7000) with an Organizer lid on an Ultralight frame. I stopped into Kifaru a couple weeks ago to BS with the gang and see what's new. Stay tuned here for updates and the upcoming review.

Shipping update**

Early pre-order's should hopefully start shipping late next week.

This is great to see Les. 7,000cc! That’ll hold the back half of a Gila bull.

Picked mine up today, planning on loading it up and hitting a hill tomorrow. First impression? It's love at first sight.

Posted in another thread...

I have the 26” lite, 26” ultralight and 26” Hunting Duplex along with the new Muskeg bags. I will weigh just the frames by themselves tomorrow.

I will say that I prefer the new frame over the Hunting Duplex in many ways already (mostly design so far). It has some improvements I didn’t even realize the Hunting Duplex needed. We will see how it carries but I expect very well.

The 26” Ultralight frame and smallest Muskeg series bag is coming in damn close to spec of 5 pounds and 1.6 ounces. I’m going to verify my scale is dead on tomorrow but a 5 pound weight shows it 3 ounces over, so that would make it dead on. Worst case it’s 3 ounces heavy.

I’ll get pics of the weight of the UL frame and large bag tomorrow also.

Here’s is the weight of the small bag and 26” UL frame.

Just a quick update (not trying to hijack Les’ thread). So far this new frame has been superior to anything Kifaru has released (Lite and UL) And I own them all. The comfort from 20 to 60 pounds is unmatched and there really is no difference between the two options so far. Soon I will get them loaded up with over 100 pounds and we will see how they do. I have high hopes.

Do the new muskeg bags have an actual sleeve inside for a bladder and a port to run the tube through?

Awesome thanks! Can someone give me an idea of the size on these bags? I know they have the ci's listed, but different manufacturers seem to measure differently. I'm looking at the 2800 for a 3-4 day pack. For reference I can do 3-4 days out of a SG solo 3300 and if I run a lid I can use my Exo 2000, but it's tight. How does the 2800 compare size wise?

This is the smallest Muskeg bag fully loaded. I think you want the small. I’m guessing it’s nearly identical to SG 3300 since I have found Kifaru bags to run larger than other companies claims. My woman is 5’ 10” for reference.
