I followed Mark Huelsing's from Sole adventure write up on his DIY draw board (with some added pieces) and success! Super easy to do took me maybe 20 minutes.

I did the same, but have mine set as a vertical one. Do u like it horizontal? I also made up a homemade bow vise, and centers hot tool. It's becoming addictive working on the bow. :)

Right now it is horizontal but I'm in the process of moving some tools around my garage on different benches and I will make it s vertical one. Nearest shop to me is 1hr drive so I've had to learn through the interweb how to take care of tuning myself. On top of that I don't think shops put in the attention to detail as I would like. I just assume take the time learn it yourself and tune it yourself you will be much happier

I need to learn how to tune myself. I want to build a draw board but I also need a press

I just built my draw board as well, have it set up as a vertical one. I picked up the bow master press, might not be as fast as the normal presses, but works well.

Build a pipe clamp style bow press. Cheap, easy to build and beats the bowmaster. Google it for a 45 page thread on AT.

Did you worry about the offset between the throat of grip and the nock point?

I didn't. And I am now changing it to be vertical so I am going to off set it. All that needs to be done is bolt down the floor flange closer to one side of the 2x6 and the boat wench closer to the opposite side if I were to keep it as is in a horizontal fashion. If that makes sense? I'll post pics when I do the vertical mounting style.

Thanks! I'm hoping to use this aluminum channel I've been moving from house to house. I'll need to widen one end to do the offset.

Any idea on how much offset? I'll measure mine. I wonder if all bows are different

You should put on an offset, the bow won't draw straight if you don't.

Nuts and Bolts has a set of plans on the DIY section on Archery talk with all the measurements for the offset.

What jmez said
Or roughy estimate the distance from the deepest part of grip to your nock height and that will be offset. I messed up and aligned my boat wench with the floor flange and steel pipe

Finally got it in the vertical position, I just mounted it up to my work bench in my garage, easiest and fastest solution

Yes it is same one in article. It is +/- 1.5pounds I think. My limb bolts are maxed out it reads 68.7ish to 70.60ish pounds depending on the day.
