Selling my Fierce Carbon Rogue in 6.5 PRC, 20 inch barrel with omnibreak. I’d say it’s got roughly 150-175 rounds through it. Shoots Hornadys 143 ELDX well right around 3/4 inch for 4-5 shot groups. Included with sale is Talley lightweight 1 piece 30mm medium rings and magpul bipod if buyer...
Did another range trip today. After the last go I ordered several more boxes of Federals 170g Terminal Ascent. Definitely found my factory round. Attached are my first 3 shots on a cold barrel and then a chrono reading from a 5 shot string. Last photo will be a 12 shot group. It slowly opened up...
If anyone is interested in comparing Federals 170g’s both boxes I bought were from batch B352V31. I ordered 6 more boxes from the same vendor, or atleast so says my gun shop. I will do a sampling of those batches when they get delivered.
I like it so far, I used to use a Leopuld VX5 3-15x44. It’s an upgrade from it for sure. I ordered another to put on a 6.5 PRC fierce. (I know that gun is hated here. Bought it from a buddy and have shot it several times with zero issues and it’s a tack driver.)
It’s about time to post an initial review of this rifle. Bergara Ridge Carbon wilderness in 7 PRC. It has a 22 inch carbon barrel that came with an Omni brake which I swapped out for a 4port Salmon River Brake. It is currently topped with a Trijicon Credo HX 2.5-15x42 with Talley Light weight 1...
Was able to get out with a Chrono today and do some testing. My Bergara 7prc carbon Ridge with 22inch barrel and SR 4port brake loved Federals 170g terminal ascents and check out the Velocity, extreme spread, and standard deviation. I only had 1 box as it was a test purchase but it grouped great...
I am patiently waiting for mine to come in to replace my leupold vx5-3x15. @Formidilosus doing these reviews probably saved me three weeks of research and watching countless YouTube videos.
This week they started responding on YouTube saying the powder they used during load development isnt available at the moment and that is why Velocities aren’t reaching advertised speeds and to plan on 50-175 slower.
I have a VX5 3-15 on my 7prc and in the process of swapping it out to the credo 2.5-15. I like the VX but was wanting something more stout. The VX5 is going on a 6.5 creed that I realistically won’t be shooting outside of 300 yards.
I have a Ridge Carbon Wilderness in 7PRC and it is a shooter. Action and Trigger feel better than my buddies Savage Ultralight and Christensen but not as good as a Seekins or Tikka.
